Section titled “Overview”This practical workshop optimally prepares participants for daily operations (Day 1/Day 2 operations) of applications on the central STACKIT runtimes. Participants work directly with the tools to automate deployments, manage environments, and ensure complete observability. The workshop is recommended for cloud engineers, DevOps engineers, and administrators.
Target Audience & Requirements
Section titled “Target Audience & Requirements”Cloud engineers, DevOps engineers, and administrators. Solid knowledge of cloud environments and common hyperscalers is required. Prior completion of the STACKIT Cloud Engineer learning path is highly recommended.

Overview
Section titled “Overview”This practical workshop provides participants with both strategic and technical skills to design future-proof cloud solutions based on STACKIT. The focus is on the optimal integration of STACKIT into existing public and hybrid cloud strategies. Participants intensively study common application scenarios, the Identity and Access Management (IAM) concept, as well as governance and costs, in order to ensure a durable and holistic architecture.
The workshop is aimed at architects (cloud, technical, enterprise), technical consultants, lead engineers, and solution designers. Participants learn the appropriate architectural principles for the STACKIT Cloud and all three runtime options (VMs, Kubernetes, and Cloud Foundry).

Overview
Section titled “Overview”In recent years, Kubernetes has established itself as the standard framework for the underlying infrastructure of SaaS products. With STACKIT Kubernetes Engine (SKE), STACKIT provides its customers with a “Kubernetes as a Service” product — but even with a managed service, administrators still need to get numerous security-relevant aspects right to ensure secure operations, including supply chain security, runtime detection, and application isolation.
This workshop examines these security aspects across the entire cluster lifecycle: from initial configuration through operations to handling newly discovered or published vulnerabilities (CVEs). It also covers how deployment pipelines for SaaS products can be designed to prevent typical supply chain attacks.

Section titled “Target Audience & Requirements”Kubernetes administrators with good Linux skills. Prerequisites are either CKA certification from the Linux Foundation or equivalent knowledge of the architecture and operation of Kubernetes clusters.
