When standard tooling cannot meet specific organizational requirements, developing custom automation ensures seamless integration with STACKIT services. This includes building custom STACKIT operators, CLI extensions, or bespoke platform automation tools.

Official Development Kits

  • STACKIT SDK for Go: Provides statically typed, highly performant bindings ideal for developing custom Kubernetes Operators and high-throughput microservices for STACKIT.
  • STACKIT SDK for Python: Delivers a rapid development framework perfectly suited for scripting automated platform tasks, data science integrations, and CI/CD automation on STACKIT.

Automation Setup

  1. Generate an API token via the STACKIT portal to authenticate your custom automation routines.

  2. Initialize a new Go or Python project and import the respective official STACKIT SDK package.

  3. Utilize the SDK clients to interact programmatically with STACKIT APIs, handling resource creation, deletion, and state verification safely.
