GitOps shifts the paradigm of infrastructure management by treating a Git repository as the single source of truth, managing cloud resources natively through Kubernetes manifests and automated synchronization loops.

## Recommended GitOps Stack

- **Crossplane**: Transforms a standard SKE cluster into a universal STACKIT control plane, allowing you to provision STACKIT databases and networks via custom resources.
- **ArgoCD**: Provides a robust, UI-driven GitOps controller to continuously synchronize Git repositories with your STACKIT environments.
- **Flux**: Offers a lightweight, heavily automated GitOps operator optimized for deep integration with Kubernetes-native CI/CD pipelines on STACKIT.

## Synchronization Pipeline

<Steps>

1. Deploy Crossplane into your management SKE cluster and configure the STACKIT provider credentials.

2. Install ArgoCD or Flux into the management cluster to monitor your central infrastructure repository.

3. Commit STACKIT resource definitions to Git, allowing the GitOps controller to automatically reconcile and deploy the changes via Crossplane.
