STACKIT Distributed Cloud (SDC) Core brings sovereign air-gapped cloud infrastructure onto customer premises.

## Service Overview
- **Air-Gapped Sovereignty**: Operates 100% autonomously on-premises without active internet connectivity dependencies.
- **VS-NfD Compliance**: Engineered to satisfy BSI security standards up to "VS-NfD" (Restricted) classification.
- **On-Premise Cloud Agility**: Delivers cloud-native VMs, SKE Kubernetes, Object Storage, and DBaaS locally.

## Technical Details
- **Security**: Hardware Security Module (HSM) BYOK integration and Security Enforcing Services (SES).
- **Billing**: Fixed monthly fee over 36 or 60 months based on provided hardware capacity.

## Limitations & Constraints
- **Manual Bundle Updates**: Updates are delivered as immutable signed distribution bundles requiring customer-managed deployment.
