STACKIT Git delivers a managed source code hosting, pull request collaboration, and CI/CD automation platform hosted within sovereign European data centers.

## Service Overview
- **Secure Code Hosting**: Protects software intellectual property on European servers under full data sovereignty.
- **GitHub Actions Compatible**: Uses familiar GitHub Actions YAML syntax to run CI/CD workflows natively.
- **All-in-One Platform**: Combines source control, issue tracking, package management, and container registries.

## Technical Details
- **Code & Collaboration**: Branch protection rules, pull request reviews, issue tracking, and integrated documentation.
- **CI/CD Execution**: Native pipeline engine supporting both managed STACKIT runners and self-hosted execution nodes.
- **Packages & Auth**: Integrated OCI container registry, Maven/npm artifact storage, and SSO/IdP integration.

## Plans

The list below comes from the STACKIT documentation and updates itself.

> From the STACKIT docs: [Plan the size of your Git Service › Plans overview](https://docs.stackit.cloud/products/developer-platform/git/basics/plan-size-of-git-service/#plans-overview) (Source updated 06.07.2026, copied 05.10.2026)

| Plan | Disk storage | Object storage | Max users |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| **Git10** | 1 GB | 10 GB | 10 |
| **Git100** | 10 GB | 122 GB | 100 |

When the storage capacity is exceeded, both disk and object storage are automatically increased to meet demand. However, user limits and base capacities remain defined by the selected plan.

## Limitations & Constraints
- **Network Boundaries**: Instance access is controlled via IP allowlists configured through the STACKIT Cloud Portal.
